In the field of production, processing, and marketing of insects as food and feed to advance science, engineering and innovation throughout the world for the benefit of all people.
Our association is dedicated to:
- Fostering communication and collaboration between scientists, entrepreneurs, and the public on the use of insects as food and animal feed
- Advancing scientific knowledge on this subject and related fields through discussions, reports, and publications
- Encouraging scientific research and the practical application of findings
- Enhancing education and professional development in the field of insect-based nutrition
- Promoting international cooperation to support these objectives
To fulfill our mission, the association actively:

Organizes projects that promote scientific understanding of insects as food and feed +

Engages in initiatives that directly or indirectly contribute to these goals, exploring opportunities in the broadest sense +

Produces newsletters providing current information on ASIFF activities, research advances and issues, relevant events and career opportunities +

Facilitates sections to address various academic issues and dealing with different insect species +

Supervises the organization of the international conference “Insects to Feed the World” every two years +

Issues a Directory of scientists involved in edible insects and a ASIFF Membership List +
